It’s the end of another year, and we have designed, cut, and installed pieces all over the tri-state area (and beyond). Check out a few of these projects highlighting our best work of the year!
Mixed Materials
Combining natural materials can make your space memorable and interesting. We offer a variety of natural stone and wood materials that are handcrafted to complete your vision for your home. In this home, we gave the kitchen island contrast by using marble on the island with soapstone as the perimeter. The dark soapstone highlights the marble, and some stones have dramatic veining to complement the coloring on your marble.
This unique island uses both soapstone and wood to add interest to the space. The live edge on the wood looks great with the crisp edging on the soapstone, adding another dimension to the counter.
Custom Sinks
If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll see the latest in custom sinks as we install them, but here are two of our favorites. This first one is a corner sink and coordinates with matching perimeter countertops.
And you can’t miss this sink with dramatic veining throughout.
Shipping Across the Country
While we live and work in the tri-state area, we can ship custom products across the country! Here’s a large sink we shipped to California. Our high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship have customers asking for our products no matter where they live.
Refinished & Repaired
Natural stone like soapstone and slate can be repaired or refinished even years after installation, making your countertops or sinks look brand new. While these options are non-porous and never need to be sealed, they do patina over time. If you regularly wax or oil your counter, you can keep it looking new on your own.
We think your counters will look great regardless of how often you oil them, but a refinish truly makes them stand out without needing to replace them.
And if you somehow crack your sink, we can repair it so you never would know it happened.
Historic Homes
Soapstone looks right at home in a historic kitchen, and this one was especially beautiful. We love the contrast of a dark countertop with all white counters! This home also added a soapstone hearth for their fireplace.
Whether historic or modern, soapstone can be customized to meet your home’s style and aesthetic. The natural qualities and soapy texture make it an obvious option for historic homes, while the dark color and possibility for a sleek cut looks great in modern spaces. Because of the patina that occurs over time, it has a home in rustic kitchens, as well.
