Garden State Soapstone ™: Soapstone Sinks
If you have a love of all things soapstone like we do, you might be thinking about a soapstone sink.
All of our soapstone sinks are made to your specifications. However, there are a few industry-standard sinks: Chicago Wright, Boston Williams, and New England Double Bowls. We’ve fabricated custom vessel sinks. We’ve even fabricated soapstone sinks with built-in counters. However, there are always the traditional styles: apron, farmhouse, or under mount sinks.
Whatever your favorite style of sink is, Garden State Soapstone ™ has been custom-making them for our clients for years. Whether you’re looking for an installation, or you’re out of town and need it shipped, Garden State Soapstone ™ can create the custom soapstone (or slate!) sink you’ve always been looking for.
Natural Stone, Neutral Tone: A Sustainable Complement to any Room
Neutrals and naturals are in style. With subtle-dramatic patterns and a range of gray to black tones, a natural soapstone sink will look beautiful in any room. It can be brightened up with hints of color, decor like small plants or artisan soaps, and matched with a unique faucet. Soapstone sinks are versatile in style, and can stand out in any rustic, modern, or contemporary home.
Garden State Soapstone ™ typically uses Churchill to create our sinks, soapstone that is quarried in Virginia. But our customers have the ability to choose from other varieties of soapstone that we have available.
A Soapstone Sink Is Easy to Clean and Maintain
Soapstone has been used for centuries because it’s a durable, lasting material. Customers frequently ask if soapstone sinks stain. The answer is no, due to soapstone’s impermeable properties. Just like soapstone countertops, soapstone sinks are stain-, moisture-, and bacteria-resistant. They’re easy to clean, without requiring any harsh chemicals. Like soapstone countertops, if a soapstone sink gets scratched, it can easily be sanded off.
We recommend using our organic soapstone oil and soapstone wax to ensure an even patina and aging, but many of our customers skip this step.
A Unique Alternative to Ceramic and Stainless Steel
Soapstone is an environmentally sustainable alternative to other types of sinks, offering easy maintenance and adding timeless beauty to a kitchen.
